A couple of years ago my family and I went to visit our pastor and his wife (my mentor) back in our school town, Merced. During the time of the visit, I was a tired mother. My son was nearing two years old and my daughter was just shy of about 4 or 5 months (I can't remember).
My mentor and I went out to the home improvement store (without any kids - amazing) to look for flowers for her new backyard. During this time, I was venting about how I was so tired. I was tired from restless sleep, tired of being mom for everything and doing everything. I was tired of not having any "me" time or time to hang out with friends. She reminded me that this time with young children is temporary and it goes by very quickly. She reminded me to stay true to God's promises and blessings (children are truly a blessing). She reminded me to pray to Him when times are tough and to meditate in scripture. I'll always remember this moment when life as a mom gets tough. It was a joyful and restful moment, where I was able to break away from the kids, reconnect with my mentor after a very long time of not seeing her, being with someone understood my tiredness, and someone to remind me of how God carries us moms through these difficult seasons in life. So with this I release these Scripture Cards - Digital Download. Product Listing: www.etsy.com/listing/1425340378/bible-verse-cards-customize-and-print-at?ref=listings_manager_grid This took me a couple of weeks to develop. I thought about it often. Drafted it over and over, but each draft wasn't right. Finally tonight, the pieces all started coming to me: the colors, the graphics, and the versus. These scripture cards are printable, you can customize the verses or keep them as is for meditating, giving to someone, or using as a bookmark in your bible. Pray and seek God and his kingdom first, always, and He will give you rest. There are 6 cards, each with a different color and hand drawn floral design. Card colors, design, and size are fixed (not editable). Font size, style, and verses are customizable. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11: 28-30 (ESV) Dedicated to Diane Renteria, thanks for always bringing me back to scripture.
